Future Leaders Alliance Addresses Youth at Pakistan’s Inaugural Local Conference of Youth (LCOY)
Islamabad, 25th August, 2023 – Pakistan’s inaugural Local Conference of Youth (LCOY) was held on the 24th and 25th of August 2023 at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Islamabad. FLA’s dedicated team took the center stage at the LCOY Pakistan, enlightening the youth delegates about the mission, values, and transformative initiatives of the Alliance.
LCOY, representing the national iteration of the International Conference of Youth (COY) and operating under the auspices of YOUNGO the official youth constituency of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), seeks to foster youth engagement in climate action. Pakistan’s inaugural LCOY saw more than just discussions on the climate – it saw the future world changers being equipped with platforms that can enhance their capacity for change.
The FLA team provided a comprehensive overview of how the Alliance serves as a nurturing ground for tomorrow’s leaders. Emphasizing its belief in the boundless potential of youth, the team detailed FLA’s endeavors in shaping the next wave of innovators and change-makers.
